  4. CMS Gopher - Viewing Directories
  5.  
  6. You are presented with a menu of items.  These may be files, directories
  7. of files, links to other Gopher servers, or other special functions.
  8. To "open" an item, place your cursor on or under the item then press <ENTER>.
  9.  
  10. Before each item is symbolic text explaining what type of item it is:
  11.  
  12.         <document>  (nothing), this item is a plain-text file
  13.         <menu>      this item leads to another directory or Gopher
  14.         <phonebk>   this item leads to a CSO/qi Phonebook search
  15.         <search>    this item leads to a keyword search
  16.         <telnet>    this item represents a telnet session
  17. .cm     <)          "sound" (looks like a speaker), not supported on CMS
  18. .cm     <O>         PostScript (looks like an eye), not supported on CMS
  19.         <picture>   this item is a graphic
  20.                     (requires a grphics terminal to view)
  21.         <binary>    this item is a "binary" file
  22.                     (not interesting to view,  but downloadable)

  24. Function keys active are:
  25.  
  26.         ENTER       select an item
  27.         PF1         help (gives you this screen)
  28. .cm     PF2         select an item (same as ENTER)
  29.         PF3         go back to previous menu (if any)
  30.         PF6         find particular string within the menu
  31.         PF7         Scroll UP in the menu
  32.         PF8         Scroll DOWN in the menu
  33.         PF9         set a BOOKMARK on this panel
  34.                     (or delete the BOOKMARK at the cursor
  35.                     if you're viewing your bookmark list)
  36.         PF10        go to the BOOKMARK list/select panel
  37. .cm     PF11        display host/port/path to selected item
  38.         PF12        quit entirely
